The West Michigan Human Trafficking Coalition partners with trusted providers across Kent County to ensure survivors have access to trauma-informed counseling, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, housing support, case management, and coordinated law enforcement response. The agencies listed are not an exhaustive list of available services. If you do not see what you need, please reach out to Safe Haven Ministries to confidentially speak to an advocate who can provide other referrals.
If you are experiencing any form of human trafficking, Safe Haven Ministries has comprehensive services, including 24/7 crisis response, 1:1 advocacy support, legal advocacy, support groups, emergency safe shelter, housing support, and resource connection, among other supportive services.

Sacred Beginnings Transitional Homes Inc. offers drop-in services to victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Our peer support specialists are survivors who understand the complexities of being trafficked and can help bridge the gaps between victims and service providers.
Survivors are also welcome to visit the organization’s home base location for a quiet space to read, write, and reflect.
Katie Green, LMSW, CAADC, CCHTVSP has over 20 years of counseling experience in addictions, trauma, human trafficking, abuse, and other mental health concerns.
Her specialty is working with teens and adults with behavioral, mental health, human trafficking, trauma, and substance abuse concerns.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office’s Human Trafficking Task Force is led by D/Sgt Kailey Gilbert. The task force’s mission is to develop sustainable partnerships between Victim Service Providers and Law Enforcement, create a victim-centered approach to combat human trafficking, and provide comprehensive, high-quality social services to all victims of human trafficking.
