Who We Are
The West Michigan Human Trafficking Coalition is a multi-disciplinary, anti-trafficking effort to address and respond to human trafficking in Kent County and beyond.

Cross-Sector Collaboration
Human trafficking is a complex issue that requires a multi-disciplinary response. We aim to increase and improve both internal and external collaborations.
Prevention
Ending human trafficking means preventing it from happening in the first place. We hold awareness events, provide training, and engage with schools.
Survivor Services
Survivors may need a variety of services. The coalition aims to make accessing services easier, improve the coordination of those services, and make changes as needed to ensure satisfaction from those being served.
Victim Identification
Many people who are experiencing or have experienced trafficking go unnoticed and do not receive the services they need. The coalition works to increase identification by training professionals to recognize the signs and know what to do next.
Investigation & Prosecution
Law enforcement and the courts are a crucial part of justice for survivors. We work to increase referrals to law enforcement, improve investigations, and increase prosecutions.
Members of the Coalition
The West Michigan Human Trafficking Coalition partners with trusted providers across Kent County to ensure survivors have access to trauma-informed counseling, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, housing support, case management, and coordinated law enforcement response. These organizations work together to provide confidential, survivor-centered services and pathways to safety, healing, and long-term stability.
